WORKING WITH ME

I'm Shaun Culbertson, a digital experience consultant. I look at every touchpoint a customer has with your brand — website, email, social, search, ai, apps, and the data underneath all of it — and then do the work to improve it.

The arrangement

What to expect from me, and what I need from you

Half up front

I ask for half of the estimated project cost before work begins, and the balance at completion. It’s how an independent absorbs the risk of a project stalling on someone else’s calendar.

I wear every hat

Designer, developer, strategist, analyst — and the project manager. There’s no coordinator between us, which means fewer meetings and a lower cost than the same team assembled at an agency.

Studio and on site

Most of the work happens in my studio, where focused blocks are protected. I come on site when the work genuinely needs it — a walkthrough, a workshop, a launch.

Meetings, virtual or public

Meetings are virtual by default, or held in a public space if we’d rather sit down together. Either way they’re scheduled, not spontaneous — that’s what keeps turnaround times short.

An independent contractor

I work as a contractor, not an employee — for you and for other businesses at the same time. You get senior judgment without a salary line, and I keep the independence that makes the judgment honest.

You own everything

Accounts, files, domains, and source stay in your name from day one. Nothing is held hostage in my account, and leaving is never a migration project.

Scope changes are quoted

If the work grows, I stop and re-estimate rather than quietly absorbing it or surprising you on the invoice. You approve the new number before anything moves.

What I need from you

One decision-maker, access to your analytics and accounts, and timely feedback. Projects rarely stall on the work — they stall waiting on an approval.
